So, I have a Ecotech Radion XR30w G4 Pro. While I had been out a few years and me trying to remember how to set it up with my apex. I plugged my lights USB into my Apexs WXM trying to remember how to set it up. When I did this, it seemed to do something to my light (Light was off, but fan was running has light was plugged into power supply, and fan was spinning) fan started speeding up, WXM reset, light suddenly went dead.

I contacted Ecotech support, I was told to try a new power supply, and if that doesnt work send it in for repairs. My problem is I have a small tank, and I only have one Radion, so obviously no second power supply. I am wondering if there is anyone who has a Radion that would let me come by and plug in my light to cross off the power supply as the culprit.

Or if anyone has a solid idea if I fried something on my board.. But any help/info is very much appreciated, google is failing me.

Also, I am in the West Jordan area, (90th and redwood).

Thank you all in advance!

Unfortunately you have damaged the control board for your Radion light. The Apex outputs 12v on the aquabus interface and the Radion can only tolerate about 8v on it's USB interface. You will need to send your Radion in for repair.

I am in Layton and have a power supply if you still want to try that route but I can tell you from experience that the power supply only has a 2% chance of being the problem. Sorry to hear about your issue though and hopefully you got the information you need on how to get the light connected back up to your apex once it's repaired.
