Hey I bought a dimmable driver and some leds to add some better lighting to my biocube. I hooked it all up and the lights are blinking on and off, then when i turn the dimmer down at all only a single red LED lights blinks faintly. Heres the info

Driver: 24-51 volts / 21-36 watts
LED's: all 3w / 3.4-3.6v / 700ma
1x royal blue
2x cyan
1x red
1x Uv
3x white (i have more whites to add if needed)
Just need a little help if anyone has had much experience.

I figured they would at least send a little wiring diagram but absolutely nothing so there is a chance i may have shorted something in the process of assembly.

Below is a picture of what i have so far... Comments anybody??

Some drivers need a certain output voltage in order to run. You may also need to add resistors to each LED if they're all different. You'll have to calculate what LED requires what resistance in order to get an even resistance across each LED. That may be causing the problem.

You also have them connected in parallel. That could be your problem also. Most designs call for a series connection for the LEDs.

Wow thanks! It seems as tho it's common sense based on all the things I looked at but I had no idea. But series worked perfectly thanks phys and sandune!

Boxer,
What was the resistance value on the POT that you used? I have a kit also but did not get a Pot so I cannot dim mine atm.

     Thanks, KrazieClownClown
