Hey everyone,
My wife is book shopping right now and I told her what book I want.  But first I thought I'd see if anyone here has this book so I could borrow it and look through it first.  Maybe Jake?
Anyway it is at Border's and seems like a good deal.  Plus I really like the author and I have his other invert books.

I think I might have that one laying around.... Oh ya, we're using it as a coster on our coffee table.

For 7 grand, he better come to your house and read it to you! Heck, he better do the dishes while he's there too!

Adam,

Yep, I've got it.  I'll let you borrow it for $6,950.

I may need a weeks notice before you need it.

Wow!  9300 pages?!  I had to check this one out...

It's actually a 20 volume set:

Recognized by scholars, researchers, and educators as the culmination of invertebrate anatomical science that will guide scientific investigation in the field throughout the next century, this definite reference to invertebrate biology comprises 20 extensively illustrated volumes, covering in detail all the major invertebrate phyla-their gross, histological, and ultrastructural anatomy.

$6,995.00?  Crazy!!  I wonder how many copies they've actually sold for that price?  They'd only need to sell 143 copies to make more than a million $!

Isn't it a misprint? What kind of nerd would pay that much?
(And, what kind of guy would find it for sale?)
