    Posted: February 12 2013 at 6:45am
I want to take some underwater pictures ( top down ) of frags that I have in my frag tank.

What would be a good camera to do that with? Are there any that don't cost a fortune? Would anyone be willing to come over and help me catalog all my zoanthid species with an underwater camera?

Thanks for the advice in advance,

Pete

I have two underwater setups depending on how good of picture quality you want. I can come over sometime after Wed. I'll have some time off.

That would be awesome. How much do you charge to do a session of photos? I don't need it to be TOO crazy high quality, just need to see the details in the zoanthid polyps.

I have used panasonic lumix cameras underwater and had wonderful results.  You can get one for around $3-$400 and will be very happy with the results.

I've got a scuba diving camera setup...photos are on my website if you're interested. Canon S95, Canon underwater housing...and then a bunch of scuba-specific equipment you won't need (strobes, etc.)

On this note, olympus has a couple models that don't require a housing for <30 ft. Not a bad point and shoot and decent underwater photos for basic point and shoot.

^Your website is neither helpful or informational.  How would anyone go on there and feel like they are finding a good camera?  There are no user ratings, and the categories make it near impossible to find cameras anyway. You seriously have to search the word "camera" to find anything.  Not to mention you carry what 4 brands of cameras? None of which are considered to be anywhere near "The Best" underwater camera.

Why would you join a forum just to promote a lousy website?
