Topic: Looky loo Posted: February 23 2005 at 10:29pm |
I was in Aquatic Dreams the other night - my normal Tuesday night routine. We got to talking about how I rarely buy anything. I guess I'm officially a looky loo.
Ryan and crew are great. They always act happy to see me and if they're not too busy, we usually spend some time talking about fish or coral or whatever. They even offer me pizza most times. Last time I was in Ryan gave me a bubble counter as mine recently developed a leak.
Anyway - many thanks to the LFS guys who don't shun us looky loos. One of these days I might just buy something!

I'm sure you're not the only one that fits into that category . I spend at least one or two nights a week looky looing.

Funny you post this today. I was just in Aquatic Dreams talking to Eric about how I'm a looky loo. He told me I'm welcome to come in every day even if I never buy anything. He always takes the time to talk to me even though I've only spent money a few times.
He even offered to let me borrow a 50 gallon holding tank and fill it with RO water to help with my move.
Thanks Eric!

I really appreciate those stores who are nice and informative to me
when I'm a looky loo most of the time. IN fact when a store
treats me well even if they know I'm not going to buy that day, it
makes me want to go buy there later, even if it's out of my way.
So thanks to those who are courteous and helpful to us looky loos.

I try so hard to just do the looky loo thing, but something always takes control and it's "buy, Buy, BUY!!!" Except, of course when the wife comes along.

It just doesnt seem as fun when you take your spouse, now does it. It's like being a kid and getting caught with your hand in the cookie jar.. slap, slap.. no you cant have that..
I tend to go when my wife is at work at night...

What do you mean being a kid? My wife still tells me that everynight. Then she says "don't eat cookies they'll ruin your appetite". I think "who cares, I'm an adult I'll ruin my appetite if I want to".......... but I always end up putting the cookies back in the jar.

HEY you guys!! Come on now, there are some fun wives out here!! Adam, your sweetie is the cutest, nicest person...
You just have to find a way to convince your darlin' snookie bears that the tank was her idea, that each coral is there becasue SHE liked it. In other words, you gotta get her addicted. You know there wouldn't be half the ricordea, pom pom, and seahorse tanks out there if it weren't for you boys trying to appease your sweet pookie bears.
Some wives love fun! Down with the Funhaters!!
