I finally got my 90 up yesterday and wired up my vho, I plugged them in ( I think the rest of the neighborhoods lights when dim for a sec :)) they look really purple! i have one super actinic and then the actinic white. Is it just me light combination that makes it look so purple?

My tank does not look purple however you can definitely see a purple glow when outside in the dark. Easy to give directions to the house at night.

it has been a week or two and it still looks pretty purple, even in the tank. I wonder is this because of my light combination? One Actinic White the other super Actinic. VHO would using the aqua sun instead of actinic white be better. I am not a big fan of how purple it is

I only run actinic white with super actinic. Aqua sun is very pink. What other lights are on your 90? The reason I ask is non of my tanks look "purple" in the tank. Sometimes we've been called the alien house from out ward hues but not in the tank.

it is just those two on it. wierd... maybe it just looks really purple because it sits across from my 20 gal that has the 50/50 PC wich look more blue. dion maybe I should come up and look at your to see if they look similar.
