OK so I got a call from a friend mine that said she found two large bristle worms in her tank that were spaying white stuff from their tails. I had not heard of this before and was wondering if anyone esle had heard of this before

I've never seen Bristleworms spawn, but that would be my best guess. I did a quick search and found this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rlvlp-oQNwAt one point in the video the spawning bristleworm is clearly visible.

I can't remember it's name right now. This is a mating thing. After mating it dies and disintegrates in the water. This is in a friends tank. The last time I was there in time to see it, I tried netting one out and it disintegrated right in the net. Makes me think of how salmon spawn, then die and immediately start to decompose.
