I've heard really good things about these as Cleaners for sand beds. I'm just curious if anyone here has one, and what their thoughts are regarding their care, and usefulness in a reef.

Thanks

We've got two in our reef, and they are so cool! They turn the sand,
but don't eat the good stuff, so I've heard......

Ryan - I've had great luck with a couple fighting as well as a queen conch.  They keep the sand bad spotless and I don't think require any special care.  I had them clean up a small cyano problem over a year ago in just a week or so.

Cool. I'm having a bit of a Cyano problem myself. Hopefully these guys would take care of it for me.

Ive had a fighting conch for a few months. It is by far my favorite snail. As far as eating cyno and diatoms I don't really know. Also unless the cyno is on the sandbed it won't get to it. It seems very rare for my conch to climb and when he has it has only been on the glass. He just wanders around and east stuff off of my sandbed.
