I tried raising them and found:
They are very cannibalistic and do better at a low density.
Low density = more culture containers.
More culture containers = more time consuming and more space.
In the end I gave up and went another route.
They are expensive to order in.
I have 4 types of seahorses right now and 2 are breeding.

Im looking to breed them in excessive numbers.... I am attempting to start breeding seahorse here in the near future and will require lots of live food.

No idea. But, once they are in your system they should take care of reproduction on their own. I have a bunch in my refugium and overflows. Is anyone local breeding mysid shrimp? I've read a couple dozen articles about breeding them and I am really considering attempting it. I havent done all the logistics to see exactly how much it would cost to raise them but i would think that if i can find a cheap source for salt to help offset the cost of all the water changes that it would be feasible.
