This tank has been set up for almost 5 years.  It is just going through a big upgrade right now.  I have lost most recently 2 false perculas, a lawnmower blenny, I'm sure there have been others, but i just don't remember (I try not to get too attached).  My CBS did pretty well, until his untimely meeting with the overflow.

The things that have done really well are the polyps, mushrooms, colt, and some LPS.  Never really tried SPS until recently, I will se how they do in a few months.  My coraline has always been great on my rocks, and on the back wall. 

I have never tested any water parameters.  I have only used 2 part calcium additives and 5 gallon water changes about once per month.

I have always had some kind of an algal problem although the species changes from time to time.  I have never had a big hair algae outbreak, but the red slime has been a problem many times.  I suspect that this is mainly due to not using RO/DI water.  I have just used carbon filtered tap water, but that is going to change with this latest round of changes.

Never had good luck with fish.  They always die and stuff, probably because you have to feed them all the time.  I feed the corals and softies much less, and add much less junk to my small water volume. 

I had a coral banded once (until he made his way into the overflow ).  He was out quite a bit, but I have heard they are agressive towards other shrimp.

By-the-way, I notice every time I add a cleaner shrimp to the tank, my peppermints tend to disappear.

Can I keep a few fire shrimp at a time?  The cleaner shrimp have no fish to clean, but I wouldn't mind having a variety of shrimp in there (a couple fire, a cleaner or 2, and a peppermint).
