Does his belly look full or sunken in? Is he active and seem normal other than the fact that you haven't seen him eat?

Most fish can go for weeks without eating although it sure can be a stress to us as owners when they do!

They have do live Blackworms - $2 a strained teaspoon.

Your CBB should devour them... Try introducing other foods along with the worms once you get him eating them.

You could also soak them in some Selcon and or Garlic. Some say the Garlic is an appetite stimulant as well as having the anti-bacterial/antimicrobial properties. Others recommend Vitamin C.

I just hope he starts to eat - GL!!

Maybe you will get lucky.

Also, brine shrimp do not have a high nutritional value especially once they are older. I would use Selco. Brine Shrimp Direct carries it. You don't want to use it all the time as it has a very fatty content. But it is great nutritionally for the fish. Once selco is added the brineshrimp do not live long however, it suffocates them.

Birdworld is the only one that I know that carries live Brine, it is expensive but I would definitely go that route and then do your own hatchery if you chose.

Pam
