It's not that hard to find a leak in the return plumbing. You don't have guess and you don't have to smear a mess of silicon all over either.

I had that problem before! My was due to air being sucked in through my threaded or clamped fittings on my return. I final just had enough one day and smeared clear silicon on all the joints and it fixed the problem. I chose to use silicon one because I had a tube of it sitting around and because I can still break it lose if and when I need to disconnect it.

I don't have my skimmer on there yet as I had read that I should wait 4-6 months so that my tank can mature.
Anyway the new filter socks helped but my hubby is still trying to see if we have a leak or something they are driving me crazy, they irritate my corals and make them close up when they are constant.

Ok so for some reason I have some major micro bubbles that are in my tank and it is driving me crazy!! I have two drains that run straight into filter socks that I have been rinsing out every 4-5 days but even when I have just rinsed them i am still getting micro bubbles.
