Such an amazing tank! How long has it taken to get your hammer and Duncans that big?

I've had the duncans about 5 years and the hammer is just a piece off of my original colony of 200 heads.

Brad, I have some questions for you.

Where do you keep your tank temp?  Didn't you tell me 75?  I can't remember.

Also, I remember you mentioned that you keep your salinity at a different level.  Can you remind me what it's at?

What brand of salt do you use?

What brand of media?

How many gallons do you change a week or month?

What fish do you regret putting in that tank?

Mag and Alk - How much do you dose every month?

Posted By: tileman
Date Posted: November 12 2013 at 4:56pm
Aaron,  how did I know you would have Q's.. Big smile

I keep my tank temp between 74-76 degrees
I keep my salinity at 1.023
Oceanic salt.  (Always have)  12 + years now.
Media in my calcium reactor is called Deltec Rowalith C+
Phosphate media is Deltec Rowaphos.
I change out 27 gallons a week.   (That's all my barrel will hold at once)
My large anthias (Tri-color)  always chasing my other anthias.  Starting to get pissed at my chevron also.  Getting awnery also.  Don't like Tangs.
Mag and Alk-----mag is in my Rowalith C+
I add about 2 tablespoons of buffer to my salt mixture when I mix new.
Anything else?????????
Love your setup BTW, but you already know that. Wink

No. I still run all of my top off water through my kalk reactor.   Thanks Chad, I forgot to mention that.

Sunday nights are best.   Watching NFL Sunday night down by the tank, and the tank is always looking sharp after a waterchange and cleaning of the tank and all equipment, filters and media changed.

It's another Sunday night.  Another 30 gallon w/c finished and cleaned all again for the coming week.

It's good to get into a routine. Your reef will love you for it.

You need to come and see it in person. Then you realize the actual size of it.  Pictures don't show the depth.

That is horrible! What caused the crack? I'm guessing it's under control or we would be seeing a bunch of help posts? I'm not super close but let me know if I can do anything.
