I've not had great luck with chalices in the past. I thought that was maybe because my tank wasn't established enough. I took a risk and picked up a couple chalice frags at fragstock. I have a hollywood stunner and an unknown really cool one I picked up from reef on. Both have started to bleach and lose their color, the hollywood stunner is almost gone..
I have them in a frag rack just off the sand bed. I just have 4 t5's over my 72 gallon bow front tank. They are in a basket that keeps the flow lower.
Any ideas on what else I could do to keep from losing them?

Need to know more about your tank and parameters. What are your ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, salinity, temp range, alk, mag, ca, etc.? Do you feed them? What cohabitants do you have with them?
Any photos?

Aloha Shad,
I agree, more info is needed. If you would be so kind as to give the 4 most important water parameters, Temp, Salinity, Alk, and Ca along with the tanks age and tell us a little more about why you placed the coral in a basket(flow?), I'm sure we can help. Oh yes, and a full tank pic is worth 1000 words.
Just a hint, flow is very important for removing the coral's waste and bringing O2 to the coral so it doesn't suffocate. Flow in our glass boxes seems to be most effective when it goes in a circular pattern from bottom to top. Gentle laminar flow is useful too.
Thanks, Mark
