the bowfront is a 39g with LR and sand. Minus alot of the pods and worms that an established tank need IMO. So i'll donate later. Maybe others can too. it had a 4-55w PC light on top. two-10k(white) two-actinics(blue) and one of two moonlights. In all the junk we found two timers and a hydrometer and power strips and stuff to make it all go round. there is alot of hair algae, two clowns, one blue damsel a large pepermint shrimp and a ton of snails and one B/W damsel. A mini skimmer on the piggyback and two powerheads for the tank. How bout that for free

the other has about 1 inch of sand, one clown and two piggy backs. It'll be  a fresh start.

Add more live rock! it will help filter the water and bring new bacteria into the tank

Snails of different sorts and using R/O water from the grocery store (At Albertsons, it's 29 cents/gal from the water dispenser in the bottled water aisle) will help clear the hair algae.

BTW, snails are more important than hermit crabs in a reef aquarium.

How so Mark? Don't they each play an equally important role in the balance? Snails are more important in cleaning the algae off of the glass and such... But who breaks down the waste? This COULD be a really interesting debate!
