Hey I noticed some white dots appearing on my snails today, maybe soemof the rock but its hard to tell since its white. Picture included HELP

could be coraline aglea growth ------------- Was that in there yesterday? Casper--WY windier than ? Down to a 20, soon to double or nothing |

To me it looks like coraline algae that was exposed to air.
Again nothing to worry about. And your snails look to be Red leg hermit crabs. |

I have a different take on this. Are there Astrea Snails in this system? If so, are those same raised white spots are appearing in other places, even on the glass? jaschall - yes they are hermit crabs, sorry long night Mark- I have about a dozen Nasarrius snails, 2 turbos, and 4 hermits....any more thoughts? ------------- Rick Davis 55 gal |

In that case, I don't know. Coralline algae gone white is the most likely answer.
