I have some questions about Macroalgae:
How much should I keep in my 20 gallon sump for a 65 gallon display?
What is the best kind? Chaeto? calupra?
How does it benefit your tank?
How much light and what light cycles are best?

How much should I keep in my 20 gallon sump for a 65 gallon display? Just enough that there is room to grow.
What is the best kind? Chaeto? calupra? Chaeto is stable. Calurpa grows faster.
How does it benefit your tank? By removing some macro every few weeks you are removing excess nutrients. Also it is a place for pods to grow. Calurpa and other macros can be food for fish.
How much light and what light cycles are best? I like to run my fuge lights for 16 hours and have them off when my display is on. I have 130Watts on my sump, that is about 1/4 what is on the display.
