Anemones need a lots of light! Maroon clownfish are some times rough on an anemone especially if it is small, make sure they don't pick on it too much. Before changing salt and other changes i would suggest doing some water testing rather than just guessing.]]>

He's closed up tight right now. I put a plastic mesh guard to protect from the maroon. Doesn't seem to be helping. Does anyone want to babysit while my tank chugs a long for a couple weeks?!]]>

If you're doing 30% water changes every couple of weeks and there's nothing in the water to use the elements, I bet you're parameters are staying that high.  I personally found that the red sea coral pro parameters were too high so now I use a mix of the coral pro and the blue bucket.  ]]>

That is normal behavior.  I never found out why.  After going the anemone route years ago, I found that using frog spawn or other LPS can be a great alternative.  Now all of my clownfish host in my frog spawn.]]>
