Might be ok for a refugium or a really low light tank, but it's nameplate says it's just for T-8 bulbs.

But, if you already have the ballast, I would try using it to power a couple 36 watt PC bulbs.  That ballast is an electronic instant start ballast which is what the Fulham (workhorse) ballasts are and they are very versatile.  Maybe this one is too (but I don't really know).

Looks like it is a ballast for 2-3 NO T-8's, Not worth much forlighting a tank.  I don't even know if anyone makes a T8 inactinic or any other suitable wavelength.
