I ran ozone for many years until I started probiotics/vodka dosing.  Fearing the ozone would kill off beneficial bacteria, I discontinued its use.  Knock on wood, since the switch in approx. Sept. '10, things have never been better.

I used ozone on my 225.
 
I think it helps with water clarity and will make your skimmer more effective (if you run the O3 through the skimmer).
 
Right now I don't have plans to use ozone on my new setup.
 
I always recommend a controller on tanks of less than 125 gal, or if your ozone unit is not adjustable for output. I just think it is safer that way.

I know at the last meeting Shane, Nick, & Jake all said that they run ozone or have ran ozone.

There's people out there who have used it, they just haven't spoken up about it yet. I tried to get started but all of my experiences in trying to buy the ozone generators second hand have started with the units not working from the point I turn them on the first time. Wish I had more to share.
