I still have 3 liters of the Micro Algae Grow from Florida Aqua Farms. I bought the 4-liter bottle and don't need that much. $10/liter. Here's a site with good basic info, though I don't believe what they say about feeding.(which leads me to not believe what they say about hardiness!) Well at least they have pretty pictures with the correct I.D. (?)

BananaTropics, thanks for the fertilizer you gave me.

I recently discovered that too much fertilizer can be a problem so I cut back on it. Mixed saltwater actually has a lot of nutrients already in it for algae growth. So now I add a teaspoon of fertilizer only after the algae has consumed the available nutrients in the new water.

I watched Mark feed the phyto and the clam first shut down because it was having something poured in it, until it realized what it was and then opened wide.  It was a trip.

I'm looking into getting a clam or two for my set-up.  What are the hardiest, easy to keep, starter clams.  I will have MH's.

I have microalgae grow from Florida Aqua Farms. Id sell for $10/liter. Thats enough to make almost 700 gallons of phytoplankton culture water. doesn't the sunlight heat the tank water up? and how do you deal with that problem. one of my tanks has a window behind it and i have insulated the tank from the sun( western exposure) should i take this out and let the sunshine in? please respond!
