Are there any reef tour fliers or posters advertising the tour?  I was at my local LFS (Incredible Pets), and the people there didn't know about the tour.  Well, I'm sure some did, but not the ones I talked too.  they asked me If I could get some for them...

Hey, stop pointing out what we aren't doing.

Okay seriously I know that Bruce is working on finishing the list and he and Jake will put it all together next week.  We'll have flyers soon, and the info packet the week of the tour.
Feel free to pressure Jake, I do it all the time.

Fliers...comming

Info Packet...comming

Posters...?

Is there a committee to handle the advertising and distribution of the fliers?  Will members be able to get some to pass out?

Hope that is enough (without being too much) pressure.

No posters this year, nor signs.  We didn't think it was worth the cost from before.

We have some area leaders that are responsible to get flyers to pet stores.  But if you would like to hand out flyers as well, that would be fantastic.  The club will print a few hundred flyers.  In addition we will have the flyer (pdf file) on this site so that anyone here can print it out to take to work or to email to friends and coworkers.

Sound good?

What about Kirk, did you get him signed up yet?  It would really be of benefit to you.

Thanks Summertop.

So any new news on when the fliers are coming out? Or is it still "coming"?

I just realized the flyers are posted on our front page!
I don't know when they went online because I was gone.  Anyway right from our home page you can click on a link (which goes here http://www.utahreefs.com/Reef%20Tour%20flyer%202005.pdf - http://www.utahreefs.com/Reef%20Tour%20flyer%202005.pdf ) to the pdf file.

Please take them to work, email them to friends, or put them wherever they should go.  Notice that on the second page there are a bunch of little tabs to cut slits in.  You've all seen them before right?, so people can just tear it off and visit our site?

I put up twelve at my work yesterday, over the different water fountains around.  I didn't think this would be a problem because there were flyers advertising a RC airplane event up for over a month at the same locations.  I checked today and someone took all of them down but two. I'm pissed.  At least there were quite a few of the http://www.utahreefs.com - www.utahreefs.com tear offs taken before the flyers were taken down.

For those that are going to distribute these signs (very nice, Jake).  Kinkos has a printer driver that will come in handy.  Just open up ANY document (like the fliers).  Then, when you print it, choose the "Kinkos" printer.  Give them a couple of hours and go pick up your fliers.  Kinkos will even fedex the fliers to you, if you want.
