Hey, so i'm thinking about going to t5 on a 72 bowfront. Have been using leds for about a year but always with a 56 that's only 30 long. I just got the bowfront a couple months ago and now thinking about throwing the lights I have for it on a frag tank and getting a t5 setup... I guess all i'm trying to ask is how many t5 bulbs do I need to be running to keep and grow acros on a 4 foot tank? Thanks in advanced.

My fixture is a 6 bulb on a standard 75. Haven't set it up yet but seems that most people have the same.

I used a 4' nova extreme with 6x54w on my 72 bow. And could grow anything but you give up the shimmer effect of halides or leds.

Well I can get two of the rapid led onyx fixtures for 175 each. Or a six bulb t5 with timers and bulbs for 200.. What would you guys do? I have a hard time buying more led units that aren't the ai Vega just cause I want it so badly.

This is mt first LED and I switched from T-5s and if you have the cash and dont want to do DYI I recommend these. 6 channels you can control from is great just start slow on output I fried a few corals trying to get it right .Could have bought a second light for what i lost. Find some running these and start with the settings they have, I finally found a setting that works. Oh and a FYI at 60% vegas can cook corals depending on settings !!!
