I came home and found that my coral banded had killed my small clown... So to prevent and further death in my tank I moved him into my smaller, uninhabited tank.... Well when I moved him, he swam around in the new tank for a min, than his arms fell off ( pinchers) is this normal? Will he be ok?

Im not sure why the arms came off. But as soon as he molts he will grow new ones. Are you sure he killed the clown and that it didnt die of something else and he was just going for the easy meal?

How small was the clown? It seems very unlikely that a coral banded shrimp would take down a clown. Just make sure that he is eating and when he molts he will be fine.

Clown was a baby, about 1/4in. The CBS is on the bigger side, about 3 inches long and maybe 4-5 inches wide (pinched to pinched) and yea I'm sure he got him, the clown was cut in half, and the CBS is always messing with my fish... I didn't think he'd actually kill one tho. But ok about the molting... Just freaked me out when they fell off...
