What are the meanings behind the icons at the left of each thread?

I just noticed that there are fire-Pushpin-star -Lock- icons at the first of each thread.

Just wondering how they get there and what determines why they are there.

This one does not have it.

If you open the classified section they are on the left of most posts.

If you hold the mouse over the Blue icon with a star icon it says "topic" if it has the fire icon then it says "hot Topic".

On the topics page if you look at the posts right above this one they have all three icons.

OH Ok I see what you are talking about now

I believe the topic is just a topic... lol

The hot topic is either one that is viewed ALOT or commented on ALOT!

Locked means no one can comment on it, but you can still see it!
