So .. I now have my own RO/DI water maker hooked up in my house. Yeah!  I'm looking for ideas to store some water for my tanks. I'm close to putting water in my new 65 gal tank and also have a 29 Gal Biocube and a 12 Gal nano. What kind of containers do some of you use to store RO water and what kind of containers do you use to make salt water for water changes?

If the Brute can is too big for you, you can use those 18g size Rubbermaid totes that they sell at Walmart, etc for like $6 each (that's what I use to make water changes with now) ------------- - My Current Tank: 50g Starfire Cube Reef * Marine & Reef tanks since 1977 * |

I have a bunch of these that I got at walmart for like $9 
I use 2 for saltwater and the rest for topoff water. They stack nicely and I like the spigot for when I only need a cup or so of water. And they are also part of my workout plan since I have to carry them downstairs from being filled

I got a 46g rubbermaid garbage can with the casters you can get for them. Simply put a pump (with hose) in it. You can then easily move a lot of water around. You can drop the pump in your tank to pump water out. Then put the pump in the garbage can to pump water back in. You can also get 15g water containers, typically for food storage, to store RO water in. Macey's usually sells them. They are hard to move when full...but if you have the 46g can on wheels it works great. ------------- =========== Shawn Winterbottom |

the white 5 gallon water jugs are on sales sometimes at walmart and macey's grocery stores for cheap, i think 2 for $5.00 last time. i just bought a 15 gallon jug at walmart for $30 so i can start to hold more water for a bigger system ------------- 105 rimless |
