Does anyone have any experience keeping a trio of clownfish? I recently acquired a juvenile picasso percula. I already have an established percula pair in my 40 gallon breeder tank and they host a green BTA. I would love to add this picasso into the mix and have a trio of clowns. I used an acclimation box for two days and let the clowns get used to each other. When I released the picasso they started tearing into him pretty good so I quickly moved the pair into the acclimation box. I will keep them in "time-out" tonight while the new clown get used to the anemone. What should my next step be? I was thinking that I should release the pair tomorrow and see how they act. Is keeping a trio realistic? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

A pair of perculas usually won't accept another in their tank.

Keeping 3 is very difficult.  I've only ever seen it by accident, and not by people trying to get three paired up.

Goodluck, I had to throw my naked clown in with my mated two clowns and the female fought him... Male didnt care too much he was there.

I guess i'm pushing my luck with a 40 gallon. If I must, i'll break up the pair and let the picasso pair up with one of the two. We'll see how things go today.
