I'm looking into a heating/cooling system that has a temp probe, and when the temp it too high, one plug/socket turns on the cooler and when it's too low the heater gets turned on. I'm looking for analog or digital temp solutions. Thanks - Tim

I think you mean a temperature controller. Here is an example

I love my neptune computer.  I can control heater, fans, lights etc. with temp.  I tell it to turn on fans if temp gets to 81.  Turn off lights if temp gets to 82.  It can even page me.  It's pricey but it's awesome.

Susan, can you recommend a site about neptune controllers? Can you tie it into a laptop or desktop computer?

Hi Smatney, I'm not a very smart guy(forest Gump). Will a heater with a thermostart and some home deport timers do the same trick ?

No, timers and a thermostat cannot do the same thing.  It's a computer and you put what "rules" in it you want it to follow. Each device is plugged into a special plug that is programmed into the computer.  Then you do a series of If/Then statements in the Neptune.  It is totally awesome.

That's so cool Smatney, so you can PC your tank from any where.
