Currently i have no light in the tank and everything is hiding. I checked. But when i turn the lights on they probably will start fighting. WHat do i do?!

Fighting is normal especially in the first few days... They usually stop after the first day... You should of put the sailfin in before the coral beauty IMO. But give it a day and see if things change. the coral beauty is just letting him know who rules the roost. Luckily my coral beauty is pretty tame... Acts like he dont care who is in his house... Goodluck man...

Coral Beauty's become very territorial once established. You should have used an acclimation container to verify their compatibility. You could try rearranging a bunch of the rock work, leaving the lights off for a couple of days and feeding heavily. Otherwise, remove one of the fish or watch them continue to fight- possibly to the death.

Get in there and get the coral beauty or sailfin out, I would do the sailfin since it's the baby and has already experienced lots of stress. Once in the Qt tank check for damaged fins, ich etc and treat for everything you see. Keep it in there until you acquire an acclimation box then put him in the box and put it into the tank for a few days. I've got a breeder box that I use as a acclimation box. $3-4. Good luck! BUt yeah, separate them fast.

Cool. If they don't stop I'd be more than happy to have him in my tank.

lots of Food + Acclimation box in tank for a few days + moving some rock work around if you can = happy fish. I've been able to get 8 tangs to leave happily together doing just this.
It's essentially territorial and the fish think if they're here they are going to eat all my food and I'm going to starve, so get outta here!

An acclimation box is IMO the best option by far. Tyler better known as Elite Aquatics makes a great acclimation box in all sorts of sizes. Place the new fish (after drip acclimation) into the acclimation box, along with a place to hide (I use a pvc elbow appropriately sized for the fish for this). Leave the fish in the box until the fish in the tank show no signs of interest at all in the new fish, typically this takes between 3-5 days. Then on the day of release, I feed the tank and release the new fish at the same time. That way the existing occupants are distraced by food and it gives the new fish a chance to leave the box without being harrassed at all.

He ships anywhere in the US. Acclimation boxes for this purpose aren't a common product, and Tyler is the best price out there by far. So I'd recommend having him ship to you. You can order right online through his site.

A homemade acclimation box is really, really easy and costs just pennies. Go to the WMAS Reefkeeping Tips linked below and click on the link called "Secrets of Adding New Fish..." You will find this and a host of other tips on adding new fish. Enjoy
