I have always made my own 3 cups epsom salt 5 cups mag chloride hexahydrate disolved in enough RO water to make 1 gal. I buy my mag chloride from BRS cause it is nearly impossiible to find locally.

Been doing it for years...epsom salts and magnesium chloride.  How much to dose will depend on your aquarium's current magnesium level, which will require a test kit.
