Against my better judgement, I bought some Purple Koosh zoanthids recently (even though I asked for a photo), and was told when I bought them there were a few blue clove polyps on the frag. So, I thought OK, I'll just cut them off, and have the polyps I want. Well they started off like this (Purple Koosh on the right), but the blue polyps have since taken over the frag the Koosh don't even open any more. | I had the same thing on a red devil people eater, i just fragged the zoo, singles heads, and very carefully scraped off the cloves. |

Could you cut the tops of the cloves off, just thinking if they cant filter feed they cant eat and will die?!. ------------- The time we enjoy wasting isn't wasted time!!!! |

Here is what I have donein the past with the clove polyps. You can use a light bristle tooth brush, you could also use your finger nail or the back side of a razor blade. another thing you could do is use glue to cover them up. Is that really the way that they were sold to you? Really? You didnt get a picture no, but you were aware of cloves for sure. Like you stated before. You contacted me about them, so I figured you knew exactly what they were. So the real question is why didnt you take care of them prior to your problem? see above for how I get rid of them, all with great success. Hope your frag does well
