I've been thinking of possibly building my own tank, does anyone know where I can buy glass locally?

Depends on your location and how nice of glass you want, example is low iron glass aka starfire glass. Make sure you get the right silicone for the joints and temper the bottom glass, youll be good. It wont be cheaper than just buying one but at least you can build it the way you want!
