I found these under my frag plugs. I haven't seen them on the acros themselves but would like to know if they are pests or fish food. Thanks in advance. Im hoping they are not red bugs and don't think they are based on the pictures I have seen online.  ------------- Call or Text (801)834-3119 |

The shrimp looking one looks like a copepod they are safe and they are also fish food ------------- It's not about what you know but about who you know |

I hope they are copepods, they look different than any other that I have seen in my tank. I figured it couldn't be a harmful bug considering they are not on the coral itself. Thanks guys. ------------- Call or Text (801)834-3119 |

Pretty sure they are copepods the usually come out at night or in the morning when the lights are off, try using a flashlight in the morning to look for them they are usually crawling around the sand bed by the glass or near a pump or if you some algae you will find some there to ------------- It's not about what you know but about who you know |

as long as there are no red on them your safe. if it's a white bug w, a red dot on it, get a pipe fish immediately! ------------- recent absurdity..Unicorns have rabies |

Red bugs are still quite a bit smaller then those guys. I don't know why this website won't let me copy links to pictures and post them in here..... You can see how small they are in this picture though  ------------- What?! You pooped in the refrigerator, and ate the entire wheel of cheese?! I'm not even mad.... That's actually amazing! |

I have some lil dudes like that, and a few years ago they freaked me out too. I've never had a problem with them. In at least a 50 gal tank, grow a good crop of Macroalgae and have a
good sized area of large particle sand or LR rubble. That is how a
Mandarin stays happiest, though a rare few can accept frozen meaty foods
on their own or with some training using a delivery tube and back
worms.
