Can any one tell me if a blacklight is ok to use as a substitute to Actinics?  I have been searching the web on this and cant find to much info.  Any comments on this would be cool.

I peronaly have tryed it but it reflects every partical floating in the water and makes the tank clowdy.

I would think the spectrum would be off. After all you throw out your actinics after a year regardless just because of spectrum and intensity.
