So I bought 4 T5's last night for my tank and I love them!  But... my wife says they hurt here eyes because they are too blue???  Grrrr....  lol.  I'm very new to the whole aquarium thing and was wondering what lights could I go with that wouldn't make it as bright?  Right now I have one purple light and 3 Blue plus I believe, I could be wrong but I think that is what the guy I bought them from said.

Leave em!

If you want to make it dimmer, go get a True Actinic bulb. You will be sacrificing PAR though.

She will get used to the light. Don't change anything out right now.

Coral need the blue light. It's what they grow by.
Let me know if you'd like to see the other 3 pics that demonstrate ocean lighting.

For some reason this cracks me up a little bit. They are a bit intense but sure look cool. I have wondered myself what the best lighting is but all the research I have done seems to say what ever works best for you.

I have four t5's 2 are actinic and 2 are aqua blue. I'm sure some people would say good, and some bad. . .
