Hey guys, I recently ordered a master kit online, but it is still not here.  I'm getting kind of impatient (not a very good thing to do, lol) and I want to add atleast a fish, or maybe a couple clowns to my biocube this weekend, or sometime next week.  If my master kit doesn't come soon, are there any LFSs that do water testing?  I found a link about an LFS booklet, but I couldn't find the link for it.

Thanks!

You can buy the Mardel test strips at most LFS stores.  They will tell you Nitrate, Nitrite, Alk and Ph (the Ph is unreliable IMO).  Not perfect but it will give you the basics.  Fish 4 U has them or they'll to a test for free.  They will also test Ca, Mag, etc for about $2 each.  I would recommend  testing ammonia as well since you're just getting it running.

Most LFS will test your water. They'll either charge you a buck or two or do it for free.
