Christmas morning I noticed one of my rocks shifted a little. So I went and moved it back, I picked the rock up and was looking at it when I seen this. Looks kinda like a clam shell, but dont think so, maybe even a scallop. It does'nt seem to like lights to much, it opens up at night. I have to sneak up to it befor it will close up, and as soon as I hit it with some light. Its connected to the rock also. Here is a few pics of it, first one its closed, and second one its opened  a little.

It looks like some kind of bivalve to me. Most likely harmless.

I have a few of these guys in little caves in my LR.  As far as i know they're just filter feeders like the little tube worms you'll see.

I have a bunch of these things on my live rock, but it seems half of mine are already dead.

I think they are cool. Like all bivalves they need dirty water to get enough food. To keep them fed, Stir or squirt the sand a lot more than you are doing.
Here is an oyster attached to a rock in one of my tanks. This one more than doubled in size in a year. They don't mind light when they are used to it. As you can see, this one grows in the sun.
