Awwww crap!

I knew this could happen, but I just got a notice from my landlord company that they are going to inspect my apartment on friday.  No big deal right?  Yeah... I am not supposed to have either one of my tanks... :(  crap!  Now I get to do the emergency smuggling of my tanks out of my apartment.  LOL  I am very nervous something will be damaged in the move.  Or someone will see them on the way out and nark on me.  Anyone got any tips for smoothly moving a nano?

Man I sure don't miss living in an apartment. I had to do this a few years ago but with a cat I have. That was easy, I would just cram him into my back pack but the meows would give me away.

It sucks you have to move it but you should be fine it's if on Friday. You've got time. Do you have a friend or family who will watch it for you?

Put a big cardboard box over the entire thing and label it books, then put other boxes around it so it just looks like clutter.

Where is it and what is it on?
If you took a pic maybe we can find something to fit over or around it.

Maybe get one of those HUGE stuffed animals and hollow it out to fit the nano.  LOL

Instead of using a blanket use something like a bed sheet.  That way the light will still come out a little bit.  Then tell them that is your pot growing area.

Wow.....to me, it sounds a bit excessive  for them to be worried about a nano. I could see the concern over a bigger tank, but there's not much damage 24 gallons could do. Luckily you're not trying to smuggle out a 180g. That could be bad Big smile

Im with the box idea, move the light for the day and put a big box over it, even a washer/dryer box and label it "crap for yard sale"
and we will all be there for the yard sale LOL

The best box would be a "wardrobe" box from U-haul. When they knock, just say "Just a minute", turn off the pumps and throw the box over the top. Piece of cake.

It would totally work.
Go get one of these. http://store.uhaul.com/product_detail.aspx?id=6560 - http://store.uhaul.com/product_detail.aspx?id=6560
Since it is a closet box in a closet.... there won't be anything suspicious.  Maybe even put a stack of clothes on top of the box.
Remember to take down the light and unplug and hide the cords.  It would be hard to explain why your clothes have a timer.  Wink
