What I was thinking was an alphabetical listing of many of the common SW words, phrases etc that are taken for granted by seasoned members.  I remember how encouraging it was for me when I was getting into Cichlids to be able to sort things out in my mind and feel like I could carry on a conversation about them.  Below are a couple ideas.  This would need to be done by or approved by the Board.  Simple maintainence over a couple years would create a resource that doesn't exist anywhere else on the net.

 

A simple 2-3 sentence explanation or definition would be perfect.

I just slapped that list together in seconds.  This could easily evolve into different categories that would be unbelievably useful for the new and learning hobbiest... and the old and aging hobbiest who's memory isn't what it used to be.

 

Thoughts?  I have ideas for the format and would be willing to help at some level, though I would not consider myself capable of writing definitions.  Has this been tried before?
