Well I want a 48x24x24 tank for a FW setup. I don't have 5-700$ to spend on glass or acrylic.... Keodog how much did you pay for your 2 part epoxy paint? And from where? The "3/4" finish plywood at HDepot would run me aroud 45$ I dunno on the glass, but with it being a 48x24x? Peice I don't think it would kill me. Plus I have a peice under my old house at roughly those dimentions..... I can reseal a glass tank with GEsylicone with confidence.... I see that AFTER I epoxy paint the crap outa the plywood that I should sylicone also.....

Anyone else have a good link to people doing this?

Not sure how much info is there, but Calfo is the king of plywood tanks and ponds.  You can also find him at http://www.wetwebmedia.com - www.wetwebmedia.com  where I know he recently wrote an article on this stuff.... http://www.wetwebmedia.com/ca/cav1i1/pondDIYCalfo/diy-pond.htm - http://www.wetwebmedia.com/ca/cav1i1/pondDIYCalfo/diy-pond.h tm

I think it was about $32 a gallon at Alta paints on 3300 S and about 200 west.  The name is Aquapon by Pittsburg Paint.
