What do you use for Kalkwasser, and where do you get it now that the Ball Corporation is no longing selling pickling lime?

I have used the kid you find at Low's in the concrete section for 4 years with absolutely no ill side effects to note. I paid like $6 for a bag that filled 2 5 gallon buckets plus.

I bought mine from http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/index.html - http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/index.html a one-gallon bucket (4.5 pounds) cost 12 bucks, shipping is 8.5 bucks --> about 5 bucks a pound. If you buy a 2-gallon bucket, it's a little bit more than 3 bucks a pound and so on. I got my kalk from there too. They have great pricing on kalk. It'll last you for a VERY long time. I haven't found it cheaper anywhere else. They also carry other suppliments at great prices. Chau ------------- Midvale |

Which Harmons are you shopping at? I haven't looked in a while, but the Harmons I remember seeing it at was the one on 6200 South and 4800 West in West Jordan.
Like Corey said the best time to look is in the fall when canning season is in full swing.
