I have seen dyed anemones.

There is a lot of this going on in Southern Cali-fornia. I believe they are dying zoas too.

I have heard of dying corals. I've only heard negative things about it though. Mostly anemones but I did hear of them trying it on others. The color doesn't last. Over the period of 1-3 months the color slowly reverts to the original. I don't know about long term damage.

I know they have tried to dye Faviets, mushrooms, most every LPS. Most die .. some live but like mike said .. the color will slowly fade away ... what happens is they try it on coral that has been in there holding tanks too long .. they try and sell them as "2nd grade" SPS because they all turned brown or other unsightly colors .. so in order for them to get there money back out they try and dye them.
Not a good idea ... 99.9% of Condis are dyed ... I have seen quite a few dyed corals. They are essential bleached, so they have about the same survivability as a bleached coral, which is okay if you have the proper environment. Many of these corals a dyed right before shipping which stresses them out even more, and can lead to a high mortality rate. In short I have seen many live past 10 days, but I would stay away from dyed corals.
