I am needing some help identifing this coral. A local guy is getting rid of it and I would like to know what it is. He calles it a "mat". My tank is a 55gal with 260watts pc. Thanks in advance...

They look like sea mat palys to me. Be careful with those, they are very toxic! |

That is Florida Sea Mat. It grows in shallow water and turns a little green in the sun. I wouldn't worry about the toxicity. | Obviously, the only way you'd be effected is if you handle the coral. If you do handle it, I would take precautions. |
