Well, I've finally succeeded in getting good polyp extension on my acros!  It only took a year!  These corals are all from my 20g frag tank that is separate from the main tank, which is currently cycling.  I have 1 x 175 w mh and a recently installed blue/white 55w pc.  I have a hyperflow 17 attached to a scwd and two other small powerheads (lots and lots of flow).  I have learned to change out 2 gallons of water every other week including a good cleaning of the protein skimmer and adding new carbon.

From last fragfest.  Polyps only recently only extending 1/3 of the way out.

Also from the last frag fest.  Interesting note.  The lime green polyp pictured above does better when the water needs to be changed and this one is just opposite.

Bruce took care of this one while I was moving/setting up my tank.  I've had it two years and never saw polyps...until now.  Thanks Bruce!

Another old coral.  Not as many polyps out.
