I'm sure Shane S will talk on this subject at the meeting tomorrow night, but I wanted to post a few shots of my corals useing a tri-pod. You can get more subjects in your shots and still get clean clear pictures.

It has four different settings for white balance, I wish it had more. A lot of my pictures are overexposed, I need to ask Shane how I can adjust this. Here is where I bought my tri-pod. It is a fantastic tri-pod and I got it really cheap. My favorite tripod benefit is allowing long exposures and still enabling you to get a sharp shot. I was playing around with taking pictures tonight with just the actinics on (pretty tough, not alot of light). Believe it or not - this was a 13 second shutter speed. Without a tripod - the distinct "feathers" on the christmas tree worm wouldnt be visible. There is no way you could take this shot hand-held.
