I'm sure Shane S will talk on this subject at the meeting tomorrow night, but I wanted to post a few shots of my corals useing a tri-pod.  You can get more subjects in your shots and still get clean clear pictures.

Awsome coloring. How does your camera adjust white balance?

It has four different settings for white balance, I wish it had more. A lot of my pictures are overexposed, I need to ask Shane how I can adjust this.

Here is where I bought my tri-pod. It is a fantastic tri-pod and I got it really cheap.

If you ever want to get one, I highly suggest getting it from here.

My favorite tripod benefit is allowing long exposures and still enabling you to get a sharp shot.

I was playing around with taking pictures tonight with just the actinics on (pretty tough, not alot of light).

Believe it or not - this was a 13 second shutter speed. Without a tripod - the distinct "feathers" on the christmas tree worm wouldnt be visible. There is no way you could take this shot hand-held.
