With the other posts about SPS color or lack thereof, I thought I'd share what happened to my tank two weeks ago.

I bought a large clown tang and after acclimation dumped him and the water from the bag in my tank. Do I know better? Well ya, but I don't always follow the rules and thought The Aquarium doesn't copper their tanks, so why not.

Guess what, they did copper their tanks. ALL of my SPS are pastel or faded. They are all out and feeding but the color will not return for another month or so..... Angry

If you are having color issues maybe you put copper in your tank as I did.. Although, I could be the only one stupid enough to do this while knowing better.... LOL

Buy a Poly Filter! They work wonders for this problem.

Sorry to hear about your accident. This is why I would never ever ever put water into my tank from another system no matter what. There are just WAY too many variables such as dormant parasite, harmful bacteria strains, hazardous chemicals, etc, etc...
