I am going to be setting up a ca reactor. I dont want the c02 bottle visible. Is there any reasone why I coulnt have the co2 bottle in the basement below the tank and reactor? I already have a small hole I can run the line through.

Yup, no problem.  Just be sure to use a good quality hose.  Regular silicone tubing lets alot of the CO2 pass through the tube wall and the longer the tube more losses you'll have.
