Akira Said it right. I dose fuel as well as PhytoFeast. And spot feed the ones that will take it. Some of my chalices, favia, other lps.
This is more than a hobby; its a lifestyle.

If you have good light, good calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium, then your SPS should be doing great.  I think think you need to directly feed them.

I feed all of the above plus, oyster feast and Kent's Chroma max. The only difference that I do is I drop it right into the koralia's so it chops it up and bows it every where so everyone gets a little of everything.

Come to think of it, we are actually running 1520W Wink The coral seam to love it. As mentioned, flow is equally important. At peak capacity, we are pushing almost 20,000 GPH.

1000W of light, alk/ca/mag, iodine, iron, potassium, strontium (testing for all of those and dosing accordingly...lights included.) I also feed my homemade magic blend of amino acids, seaweed (red/green/brown), raw seafood, sugar, and garlic.

I am pretty sure I believe in Fuel...

Its impossible to do a true experiment over the months required to see real growth in tank with and without dosing but I started this hobby thinking I would never dose anything and tried Fuel based on more than one recommendation and I now regularly shell out my 19 bucks for the big bottle of fuel and dump in small doses a few times a week- and from a purely unquantifiable perspective I swear the stony corals do better.  Better polyp extension maybe faster growth... I think the harder to keep corals like Millepora seem to show an even better response.  But, I am certain you will find more than 1 beautiful tank that does not does...

But- its cheap enough to not be a major expense (I dose much less than recommended probably 1/2) and I am convinced enough to spend the money, and I hate spending money on useless crap....

P.S.  I have yet to read any of the glossy advertisement- I used it on a recommendation and ended up seeing what I thought was a difference...
Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler -A.E.
57 Gallon RImless build in progress check the thread before if becomes boring and just full of nice pictures of colorful coral!
