Yeah I actually use the maxspect razor. I have 2 of the 20.5 inch ones. Am I reading this correctly.  the light only covers a good 22" spot.  This must be for the 20.5" long model.  I would imagine the 27" covers at least 27" maybe close to 30". 
 
Would I have better luck buying led spot lights, or pendants whatever they are called.  Throwing a couple lights (3) in my hood and covering all the area?

Very helpful.  The other light I was looking at is Maxspect Razor R420R LED Light Fixture, its programmable on the light.  The bigger light is 27" and is adjustable.  It is also 160w of Cree LEDs.  Where could I find the par test of this light?

The jury is still out on coral growth in my tank, but the Radion lights are finally a product that I think are worthy replacements to metal halides. I like the AI too so I'm not much help.

There's a lot of development behind these. I installed two, plugged them in, and touching one button on one light, I was controlling both lights without any connection to a computer. Very nice.

Radion are top notch doesn't get much better for leds. I agree you would need two for a 4 foot tank. What is the width of your tank?

Just curious if anyone has had luck with these?  I'm looking for LED lighting and don't want to DIY it.  May possibly do MH but didn't want to deal with the heat/cooling/ supplemental lights.  My tank will be the 4' long footprint.  I'm just doin research currently before I piece my tank together to get back into the hobby.

I am looking for a light fixture that will cover my whole tank, and am curious if I put these high enough (about a foot) above the tank if they will cover everything.  they only measure about a foot long.  Would anybody have any insight as to what light would be best for me.  I am looking to grow a mixed reef, not a ton of sps but a few for sure.
