They will run cooler and reportedly more efficiently. However, you should be able to find a moderately priced tar ballast from someone on this board (faviasteve), e-bay, or one of our LFS. <br /><br /><br />You could compare prices at:<br />http://www.hellolights.com<br />http://www.marinedepot.com/homepage.asp<br /><br />I've bought from both of these places and I've been very pleased with their service and price.<br /><br />Good luck.]]>
